A break on the job

What does one not do to get away from the computer a couple of hours. launching in the weedcovered beach at Vikhög and a fairly long trip north to Lundåkrabukten and south to Löddenäs. A blazing sun from an almost cloudless sky, but there was more wind than I hade thought when looking out on the trees in the garden: 12-14 knots NW. Must be ideal for those around-the-coast-paddlers still on the Halland Skåne coast. Perfect wind from behind to add 5-6 miles a day without any extra effort, but not enough to make effect the possibility to jump from point to point.
During a coffee break north of the Lödde river I had an unexpected visit. I was resting below the bank and suddenly got the feeling I was being watched. On top of the bank, no more than 10 feet away sat two fox puppies and looked with obvious curiosisty. When I slowly reached for the camera they ran off. I managed to get one of them on a couple of pics by reaching over the bank with the camera held high (the wide angle lens of the Olympus came in very handy!). When I tried to get closer they disappeared down a hole. On the meadow above the bank I found five or six similar holes over a large area.
A couple of swims of course - not only those performed without leaving the kayak. The water temp was approx 18-19° C close to the shore - slighly less out in the sound.
