At last - at sea

After far too much HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, Accessibility etc (web development for those who do not speak the lingo) – I finally managed to squeeze in a little of the more important things in life. Hoping for a short tour with my club colleagues, but finding the launching site empty - something to do with the weather probably: force 6 southerly and showers. But with a little abstinence such things does not count.
So it became a tour on my own outside ÖN with a little rolling every now and then - approx 6 miles and 50-60 rolls.
In the pic I have the Limhamn harbor pier just behind the back (accounting for the seemingly flat water). The wind counter at the harbor master office showed 16-24 knots during those minutes I had it within view.
The Water temp is down now to 14-15º C, depending on currents and wind. Still warm and cosy from a rolling perspective.
I have ordered a new tuiliq from Chillcheater. The old one, after four years of intensive usage, have developed extensive leaks in the material itself. Those leaks appears where the material is stretched when pulling it on or off - the neck, the wrists, the hem etc. Still it may be used, with but a teaspoon of water for every roll, but in water temps near freezing it is not OK.
But for a light drizzle the last hundred meters to the club float and waiting sauna, the weather was quite agreeable - no real rain and not very cold for the season: 15º C. With Ön, Lernacken and Klagshamn Point breaking the waves the sea was almost flat. A rela nice trip.
