Yesterday morning the snowfall almost concealed the bath at the end of the 600-meter long jetty protruding straight out into the Sound. Some ice along the shore but open water (+2° C) at the end of the jetty.

So shallow is the Lomma bay that with low water and an easterly wind it was just approx 60 cm water out there ;-)

I heard that last Friday was the statistical "half-snow-day", meaning that we should have gotten half of the amount of snow for this winter season. If so, this will be a winter with very little snow here in the southwestern corner of Sweden. More paddling and swimming than skiing and skating...
