After some years in neglect in the backyard, the canoe yawl finally got a little well deserved attention. Kids and grandchildren takes over.
In the photo, from an attic window, the hull is washed, sanded and varnished, masts in place and sails hoisted for a final test - and if the weather service had not threatened with a gale we would hade launched it today. Tomorrow maybe...
The boat, prototype to the Canoe Yawl 400, built 1990, had done surpricingly well during the years witout maintenance - mostly finishing touches were needed; cleaning, revarnishing and repainting.
