The Etnographic Museum's unique collection of arctic kayaks

Requests from interested kayakers have convinced the Ethnographic Museum in Stockholm that there is an interest in their unique collection of historic arctic kayaks.
These are in storage and not publicly displayed, but they will be shown on special guided tours on two occasions. The first is on July 31 and is about approx 35 kayak models (a few of them showing kayak types that are not available as full-size specimens) and a lot of equipment associated with kayaks and hunting. These tours are in English, free and start at 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm on July 31, with 10 visitors on each.
The 35 full-size kayaks, one of the largest and most comprehensive collections in the world, will be shown at a later date – requiring some work to be displayed.
Since these are special events, outside the normal schedule, they are not announced on the museum´s web site – but a short notice can be found on facebook.
Thanks to Mats Antonsson for the heads-up.
