The first spring tour

Sunny and warm and a 10-mile tour in the black kayak along the coast today. With every tour I learn more about the kayaks behavior in different condition. In a following sea it is very fast with minimal effort and "microsurfs" on almost anything except mirror flat water. Against the wind it is slightly slower than my Nomad and in a confused sea with steep waves in different directions it is hard to maintain speed and the going is wet. The directional stability is quite good considering the excellent manoeverability, and luffing in side wind is minimal. I am quite satisfied so far.
