Update on my commercial kayaks...

My cooperation with Seabird Designs is over - our opinions about quality, customers and service differ too much.
A month ago I posted on my commercial projekts together with Seabird Designs. Time for a short update.
Things are coming along nicely in China. Seapearl, the roomier version of Black Pearl, is available in some markets already.
For the Black Pearls (LV and HV), the plugs are finished and ready to be used for moldmaking. Both models are planned to be available early this summer - i everything runs as planned.
Very exciting news is that Seabird is opening a new high tech production plant, and that the new Pearls are of prepreg epoxy construction – stiffer and lighter!
This is the raw wooden plug for the BP-LV:
Victory is a kayak for those who prefer a little more volume than the BP offer: 525x58,5 cm – a tough plastic touring kayak, with fore deck cutouts for an efficient paddle catch.
Here is a test version of the Victory – made of simple recycled plastic, so the finish is not as high as on the production kayaks. But the shape and the details are quite OK...
There will be a Victory LV later this summer – for smaller paddlers.
