My cooperation with Seabird Designs is over - our opinions about quality, customers and service differ too much.
The large German outdoor denk.com made massive purchases after the Nuremberg Canoe Expo and has reviewed the new kayaks from Seabird Kayaks.
The Wave 5.5 is commented thus: "Wave 5.5 is designed for sporty paddling in open sea, but impresses on flat water as well with its huge potential for speed and unexpected good initial and secondary stability. The ergonomic seating position is very comfortable."
Wave 5.5 is the first of three surskis I have designed for Seabird. In production are also Wave 6.1 (an intermediate ski for those wanting more speed and accepting less stability) and Wave 6.4 (an all-out elite ski). The names indicate the length in meters.

On Salt 51: "Salt 5.1 is super fast! With a low initial stabiity it is not a kayak for beginners. But an experienced paddler with a taste for speed will have great fun."
Salt 51 is also the first of three – the fastest in the series. Later comes a Salt 55, while Salt 59 actually already exisits, but called Touring – a change of name and a minor update, and it will fit nicely into the line. The names indicate the width in cm.
